My name is Ulyana Aster and I am happy to welcome you on my official website. Here, you will find all you need to know about my luxury damage-free hair extensions, unique hair accessories and hand-made bridal jewellery.

Recently I’ve received a lot of questions about when and how I started my brand and how I got THE idea, and I think now it is time to share my story with you.

One summer day in 2008, I was walking along the streets of Gold Coast and saw an ad by a hair dressing school enrolling new students. The decision was made straight on the spot, and a few days later I was one of the 20 new students learning all there is about hair, cutting, styling and taking proper care of different hair types.

I really loved the styling part of our course, however, in my opinion, the book with hair styles we used in class was outdate so I started creating my own up-dos and impressed with my work and passion, my teacher offered me to join her as her assistant at weddings. Soon after that, I decided to work on my own and became really popular and successful – thank you, all my beautiful brides, who I had an honour of helping on their special day!

Working with different types of hair on the regular basis, I found it extremely difficult to find hair extensions that would be easy to work with, or look real enough or leave hair undamaged. I personally love hair extensions and wear them in my everyday life and over the years I’ve tried over 30 different brands and all known methods of application, but I was always left unsatisfied with the result and to make things worse, with damaged hair.

That’s how I got the idea of creating my own hair extensions with a unique two-way application system. These hair extensions represent the essence of my work and my passion, my views on sophistication and elegance in hairstyling. In our design, we used the new invisible application system and real Russian Remy Hair of highest quality.

All the hair still has its outer cuticle layer where all the follicles face the same direction, and that helps our extensions last longer, feel silky, stay shiny and tangle free.

I’ve tried my best to create a product that has everything I was looking for in hair extensions

#1 Hair Origin. We use only the highest quality human hair currently available on the market. We choose Remy hair for our extensions because it still has its outer cuticle layer and all the follicles face the same direction. Our lush ULYANA ASTER hair extensions last longer and remain shiny, silky, and tangle-free.

#2 Thickness. Not all hair extensions come the same - some extensions are really thick on top and get thinner to the ends. Any girl wearing hair extensions knows that’s not good at all, because the whole point is to get thickness and volume at the bottom! Our hair extensions are double drawn. This means that the strands are the same thickness from top to bottom. This process is rather complicated, resulting in higher production cost, but we are on a mission to deliver the very best quality to our customers.

#3 Secure and easy application. With our crazy schedules, one kid running around and another one on the way, I want it to take me literally 60 seconds to put my extensions in. Now I can probably clip all of mine in less than a minute and I know they will stay in, even if my kid pulls on my hair multiple times through the day. There are two ways to wear our one-piece hair extensions: 1. Using the invisible elastic band 2. Using the clip in system. Our clips are 28mm long with silicon tubing to ensure they maintain a strong and enduring grip.

#4 Packaging. I have always wanted hair extensions to come in beautiful boxes that

someone wouldn’t want to throw away. All the extensions I bought in the past were sold in boring cardboard boxes or just in a plastic sleeve. I’ve decided my own packaging should be classy and elegant, so it can be used as a storage box for my beautiful creation.

#5 Tutorials. My online videos teach different styling technics of hair up-dos both with and without Ulyana Aster hair extensions. I have recorded multiple “how to” videos to help my customers use their hair extensions and blend them perfectly with their own hair. Even if you don’t wear them every day like I do, you can wear them to a wedding, a prom, or just a special date night, or anytime you want an extra chunky braid or your top knot needs some volume.

I am so excited and I feel so incredibly happy with how everything turned out. I am grateful and blessed to have my husband Mark by my side as we worked on this together – we don’t have a partner or investors supporting our project, but I am confident it will all go as planned!

We started with 14 basic colours including Ombre and have a few colours in mind to add to our collection in the future as we get more interest and feedback from you guys. All of it will be highly appreciated!
